- Make ready 15 oz Pinto beans, canned
- Take 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- Make ready 15 oz tomatoes, canned & diced
- Get Fresh fruit
- Prepare 3 key limes, zested & juiced

Instructions to make Chili con Pavo (turkey):
- Brown turkey in a skillet, then transfer to a soup pot.
- Saute veggies then add to the soup pot.
- Drain kidney & pinto beans into a 2 cup measure. Add water to bring it to 2 cups. Add the liquid to the pot. Retain the beans.
- Add the spice and salt packets from the kit and the tomato sauce. For mild omit the cayenne pepper. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Only use the masa flour if the chili is too thin.
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking add tomatoes, retained pinto & kidney beans, rinsed black beans and the lime juice and zest to pot.
- When heated through, serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
I used ground turkey instead of chicken breast. And had to introduce a few of my own spices cos i like it much hotter. But it was my first try at making chili ever! Chili con carne with turkey, chickpeas served with nachos. Chili with meat, nachos, lime, hot pepper.
