- Prepare 25 g unsalted butter

- Mix flour, butter, salt and sugar
- Once first ingredients are mixed add the yeast and hand mix again.
- Now slowly add warm water stirring in a bit at a time until you have a dough which is elastic rather than sticky.
- Tip dough onto your work surface lightly sprinkled with flour. knead the dough for around 10 mins.
- Lightly oil your mixing bowl. Put your kneaded dough into the bowl and prove in warm area for 1 hour. Place a damp towel or oiled clingfilm over the top.
- After proving, tip out and knead for a further 2 mins shaping the dough and placing it into a bread baking tray. Prove for a further 2 hours.
- The dough should have now doubled in size. Cut a 1cm deep slit down the centre of the dough. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c for 20 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapping it on its underside.
