Instructions to make Awara/ tofu:
- Soak your soya beans over the night.Drain and grind in a blender (add about 3cups of water while grinding)
- Strain your soybeans through a sieve with a cheesecloth
- Pour the sieved milk into a bog pot. Boil the soy milk into a medium heat for 45minutes to an hour.stirring frequently because it can pour
- Reduce the heat and add lemon juice do not stir (awara starts to form) turn off the heat cover the pot and leave it for like an hour
- Place the cheesecloth in a bowl,pou the awara in carefully,fold the clothe over and press as much soya milk as you can
- Press down the awara bag with a tray and place a heavy object on it (this is to remove excess water) allow it for like 2-3 hours
- Remove it from the cloth nd cut your awara into desired shape season with salt and maggi and Fry until it is golden brown
- Make a sauce (optional) you can also eat with yaji
