  1. Clean poppy seed and soak in water for 4-5 hours.after 5 hours drain the water and grind the poppy seeds in grinder.add some water or milk if required. Make a fine paste.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add grinded poppy paste. Stir constantly and roast on medium heat.roast until it's colour changes and nice aroma comes from it.
  3. Add milk and stir. Cook until it gets thick consistency. Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix.saute some more time.
  4. When halwa releases the pan.add some chopped almonds and mix.off the flame and serve hot poppy seed halwa garnish with chopped almonds and kismish
