- Make ready 500 g sweetcorn
- Get 1 onion, sliced

- Get 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions to make Durban Sweetcorn:
- Add onion and chillies to oil in a frying pan. Saute until onions are translucent and beginning to caramelise
- Add frozen sweetcorn and cover with hot water. Season with salt. Boil until water has evaporated and sweetcorn is cooked (more water can be added if necessary)
- Add a teaspoon (or more π) of butter and fry a bit longer until some kernels start popping about and then serve.
- You can also add two teaspoons of chilli powder followed by a little more butter before you stop cooking. This will just add some more heat. Or add the lemon juice.
