  15. Take 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  16. Make ready 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  17. Take 2 tbsp ghee
  18. Make ready 1 tsp rose water
  19. Get 1/2 tsp keora water
  20. Prepare 4 drops mitha atar
  21. Make ready 1/2 cup coloured belpeppers( red ,green, yellow)
  22. Take 1/3 tsp shahi garam masala
  23. Get 1 potato (cut into pieces)
  24. Make ready 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves

Soya Chunks & Beetroot Biryani is a South Indian style Biryani recipe which is flavoured with freshly ground coriander powder,coconut milk and other Indian spices. I wanted to try Soya chunks Biryani for a long time but my behind thoughts never let me to….as having tried quite a few soya chunks recipes, I always had a doubt of how well the soya will blend. Soya Chunks add great texture to a dish especially for vegetarians. Since Biryani is primarily seen as a non-vegetarian's dish, I thought why not add some kick to a vegetarian biryani by tossing in.

  1. Soak soya chunk in hot water for 20 minutes. In a bowl add curd, salt,1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder, green chilli paste,turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well. Add soya chunk, potato and belpeppers into the curd mixture and
  2. Marinate for at least 40 minutes. Soak rice in water for 20 minutes. Soak jaifal, javitri paste and shahi garam masala into milk.
  3. Add oil and 1 tbsp ghee into pan. Add cardamom, cinnamon and cumin seeds. Add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Saute for 30 seconds. Add this to pressure cooker. Then add marinated soya chunk, belpeppers, potato. Add rice. Add garam masala mixed milk using sieve. Add rose water,keora water,atar,salt,ghee. Add 2 cups of water. Add Coriander leaves. After 2 whistles put off the flame.
  4. After 10 minutes it is ready to serve.
